Emily Conradson, M.A., is founder Innersight Yoga, a project that provides yoga instruction for blind, partially sighted and sighted people who choose to practice blindfolded. After may years of studying Astanga and Vinyasa yoga, Emily discovered
Forrest Yoga and developed a connection to the intuitive, Spirit
healing approach to asana as taught by world renown healer and yoga
innovator, Ana Forrest. Emily is also the Director of Om
Factory, a Yoga and Wellness Center in the heart of New York City. A
graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, Emily has a private practice as a certified Holistic Health Counselor
and is working towards a Massage Therapy license through the Swedish
Institute. Many students have benefited from Emily’s skill in working
with injuries and chronic pain within the body and her ability to teach
about Primary Foods.
Emily is an
authentic, and down to earth practitioner who's passion is to teach yoga
to beginning students. Teaching both public and private yoga classes, Emily is a experiences in teaching Forrest Yoga, Vinyasa
Yoga, Ma Yoga, Yin Yoga and Acro Yoga. Emily's teaching shares the transformative, healing power of yoga and inspires students to journey to
the depth of their practice and embody the truth of their unique
experience. The powerful
emotional, physical and energetic breakthroughs experienced in her
study of the Forrest Yoga method have inspired Emily continually study with Ana Forrest and assist her in National Workshops throughout the U.S.
Emily's teaching combines breath awareness, safe and intelligent sequencing,
lighthearted guidance, and challenging postures to facilitate an
authentic feeling in every pose. Throughout
the entire class, the biggest emphasis is on breath capacity and using
the breath to empower yourself in your practice, unlock emotional and
physical wounds, and find the deep pleasure in connecting to Innersight. Emily’s classes are intended for both
new and advanced students as strength and flexibility are not required— bring a willingness to learn how to feel and
respond honestly to the stage where you are presently at. Emily’s lighthearted guidance facilitates students to
attain challenging postures, allowing them to discover an authentic
feeling in every pose while finding the deep pleasure of connecting to
authentic Self through yoga.
Emily has also completed teaching
certifications in Ma Yoga (prenatal yoga) with Mia Borgatta, Ancient
Ayurvedic Yoga Series with Sarah Tomlinson, and Next Generation Yoga
(ages 2-6) with Jodi Komitor. Emily is also a Vipassana Meditation
practitioner as taught by S.N. Goenka and studies privately in New York
with Dharma teacher Amitbah Jordan.

Emily lives in the East Village of
New York City where she teaches
a donation based class. She is also
a visual artist and completed a M.A. degree from New York University.

students to see within their personal
